Editorial policy
Where the facts on kemisant.net come from, what we will not claim about a belt or a sock, and how to report a mistake.
The people who run the KEMISANT catalog write every page on kemisant.net. Here is how a fact gets onto a page.
Facts about the products
We take strap widths, waist ranges, pack counts, materials, shoe sizes and colors from our own product data, and when two descriptions of one belt disagree, we print the more careful figure or leave it out.
The photographs and the home page film are ours. Frames with words, size charts or arrows printed over them stay off the site, so each picture shows the product alone or on a person.
What we do not claim
We describe what a belt is made of, how its buckle works and which waist it fits. We make no promises about how many years a strap will last, and we do not say that compression socks treat any condition, because we have no test that shows it.
Guides and sources
Our guides on belt sizing and on compression socks cite public bodies, and we read each source before citing it. The date we read it is printed beside it. This is general information about belts, shoes and socks. If you have a medical condition that affects your feet or circulation, follow the advice of your doctor on compression socks and footwear.
Corrections
If a width, a waist range, a color or a sentence here is wrong, write to buckle@kemisant.net. We fix the page and the product data behind it.
