How do you want your KEMISANT belt to close?

You slide the buckle along teeth on the underside of the strap and it locks every quarter inch. A lever or a side button lets it out again with one hand, which is the whole point after a big lunch.

How the ratchet works

Fitting a KEMISANT ratchet belt in three steps

  1. 1

    Order the waist range that covers you

    Each belt is sold by a waist range, such as 32 to 38 inches. Pick the range your trouser waist sits inside, and if you sit on the edge, take the larger one.

  2. 2

    Cut the strap once

    Take the strap off the buckle, cut it to the length you need and fit the buckle back on. Only the styles marked trims to fit are made for this, and scissors do the job.

  3. 3

    Adjust by the quarter inch

    Push the strap through and the buckle locks on the next tooth. Lift the lever or press the side button to let it out again, with the belt still on.

How to pick the right size

Open the belt size guide

  1. Measure a belt you already wear

    Lay your best-fitting belt flat and measure from the buckle end to the hole you use most. That number, not your jeans tag, is your belt waist.

  2. Size up on a trimmable belt

    On ratchet and rigger belts you can cut, choose the range one step above your waist. Cutting a strap shorter takes minutes, adding length is impossible.

  3. Do not trim a true-to-size ratchet

    The True-to-Size ratchet belt has a fixed length. Order it about two inches above your waist size and leave the strap uncut.

  4. Read both numbers on shoes

    Clogs and slip-ons are sized as women and men together, such as women 9 and men 7. Find your own number in the pair and ignore the other.

  5. Match socks to your shoe size

    Ankle and crew socks are sold by shoe size range, such as 6 to 9 or 10 to 12. Compression socks use S/M and L/XL, which is a calf fit rather than a foot size.

  6. Count the cards you carry

    Our slim wallets hold between 8 and 15 cards, depending on the style. Count the cards in your current wallet before you move to a front-pocket one.

How do you size a KEMISANT ratchet belt?

Can you cut your KEMISANT belt shorter?

Yes on every style marked trims to fit: the buckle comes off, you cut the strap and put the buckle back. The True-to-Size ratchet belt is the exception, with a fixed length you should not cut.

Which KEMISANT belt should you wear for golf?

Do KEMISANT compression socks need a prescription?
